My Ph.D. is from Northwestern University. I joined the department in the Fall of 1974 after serving as Assistant Professor at Duke University from 1968. I am currently serving in a post-retirement position.

Mostly on Kant’s philosophy of mind and knowledge, Schopenhauer, and Sartre’s theory of consciousness. Somewhat less focus on various themes in Descartes and Locke.
