Lindsay Young Professor & Director of Undergraduate Studies
My research focuses on ethics, Kant, and the philosophy of disability. I regularly teach courses in these areas as well as in political philosophy. I’m the Director of Undergraduate Studies in the Philosophy Department. I also serve on the Chancellor’s Commission for Disability. I recently won the Chancellor’s Excellence in Research and Creative Achievement award.
Education
My Ph.D. is from the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill. Before that, I earned a B.Phil at Oxford University where I studied as a Rhodes Scholar. I joined the Department in 2011.

I mainly work on issues in ethics, Kant, and the philosophy of disability.
