2014 Tennessee High School Ethics Bowl Results

The Philosophy Department is pleased to announce the results of the 2014 Tennessee High School Ethics Bowl, which took place on Saturday, Feb. 8, at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Knoxville.  Nearly twenty teams competed and all performed very well, but three distinguished themselves from the pack:

  • 1st place: Farragut High School
  • 2nd place: Austin East High School
  • 3rd place: Oak Ridge High School

Thanks to all -- faculty, staff, students, community members -- for the hard work putting on a very successful Tennessee High School Ethics Bowl.  But special thanks to UT Philosophy graduate student Don Dillard and UT Philosophy lecturer Ryan Windeknecht, the event organizers, and to Cheryl Smith and Susan Williams, the UT Philosophy staff administrators, for their many months of work attending to every detail! Here's coverage from WBIR featuring Don Dillard (a separate story featured Ryan Windeknecht): http://on.wbir.com/LK2r6r
